Deyl and his wife Paige have been actively involved with Opportunity International since 2002 and have been serving on their Board of Governors since 2008. They have always been impressed by the leadership of the organization and the effectiveness of microfinance in creating real change in families and communities.
Opportunity International provides access to savings, small business loans, insurance and training to over four million people working their way out of poverty in the developing world. Clients in over 20 countries use these financial services to start or expand a business, provide for their families, create jobs for their neighbors and build a safety net for the future. They have been operating for over 40 years and are consistently recognized by Charity Navigator as a top 10 charity and are a preferred charity of the Gates Foundation.
